Confidential Financial Services Client - New World Headquarters
New York, NY
Team members provided LEED Gold commissioning and certification services for an 850,000 square foot headquarters at Hudson Yards. This office will host up to 3,400 employees and include offices, conference rooms, an auditorium, and kitchen areas. The team commissioned critical infrastructure, including a chiller plant, generator, and UPS systems. They tested under-floor HVAC, lighting controls, and smart building automation systems on each floor.
The commissioning process was comprehensive and meticulous, involving over 2,100 contractor checklists and 994 test scripts to validate all systems' functionality. These tests were crucial in identifying discrepancies and ensuring that every aspect of the infrastructure operated as intended. The team diligently resolved 2,108 specific issues, ranging from minor adjustments to significant repairs, guaranteeing that the office met the high standards required for performance, reliability, and scalability essential for global financial operations.
Furthermore, the team worked closely with contractors, architects, and facility managers throughout the project to ensure seamless integration of all systems. Regular progress meetings and detailed reporting helped maintain clear communication and coordination among all parties involved. The result was a state-of-the-art facility that not only achieved LEED Gold certification but also set a benchmark for future sustainable and efficient office spaces.
In addition to the technical aspects, the project emphasized creating a comfortable and conducive working environment for employees. The design included considerations for natural lighting, ergonomic workspaces, and energy-efficient solutions, promoting both employee well-being and environmental sustainability. The success of this project at Hudson Yards demonstrates the team's expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional results in complex and large-scale developments
