The team completed DE Shaw’s 319,000 sq ft New York headquarters, covering nine floors of offices and production rooms. The project included electrical distribution, a packaged 6-pipe chiller/boiler system, transfer switches, UPS, HVAC, and lighting controls. The team supplied and reviewed over 1500 contractor completed checklists, executed 738 functional testing scripts, and resolved 3252 unique issues.

This monumental task required meticulous planning and coordination, given the scale and complexity of the headquarters. Each floor presented its own set of challenges, from integrating sophisticated meeting spaces with advanced technical requirements to ensuring seamless office environments conducive to productivity.

The installation of the six-pipe simultaneous chiller/boiler packaged system was particularly crucial for maintaining optimal temperatures across diverse spaces. Additionally, the new automatic transfer switches and UPS were critical to guaranteeing uninterrupted power.

HVAC and lighting control systems further added layers of complexity, necessitating precise calibration to meet both efficiency and sustainability goals while maintain an extraordinary level of comfort for all occupants.
