Team members provided commissioning services for a confidential financial service client's 12 MW tier III modular data centers in New York, New Jersey, and Colorado. Each center featured a modular design built in phases. The initial scope included commissioning substations, medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, low voltage switchgear, UPS modules, adiabatic cooling systems, CRAC units, and support systems.

The commissioning process involved meticulous planning and execution to ensure each component met stringent operational and environmental standards. Substations were tested for their capacity to handle the load requirements, while the medium voltage switchgear was evaluated for reliability and safety. Diesel generators underwent rigorous performance testing to guarantee uninterrupted power supply during outages.

Low voltage switchgear and UPS modules were inspected for efficiency and resilience, crucial for maintaining data integrity and preventing downtime. Adiabatic cooling systems and their DX backup, essential for energy-efficient temperature control, were assessed for their capability to maintain optimal conditions for IT equipment operation under a variety of outside air conditions.

Each phase of commissioning involved comprehensive documentation and tracking, supplying and reviewing over 1500 contractor completed checklists ensuring every detail was accounted for, and completing over 600 test scripts per site validating the functionality of all systems.

Throughout the project, over 2000 individual issues were identified and meticulously tracked to resolution, demonstrating the team's commitment to delivering fully operational and reliable data centers. This structured and thorough approach ensured the data centers met the client's needs for performance, reliability, and scalability, supporting their critical financial operations across the globe.
